I break for recipe testers!

I’ve only posted my search for testers here and on a local board populated mostly by friends, but the response has been wonderful and encouraging. Thank you everyone who has signed up!

I estimate that I should have everything up and running toward the end of next week, and then everyone who has contacted me will get a heads up. I’ll also post here when testing has officially kicked off…and if you signed up and haven’t heard from me by then please bother me and I’ll make sure you haven’t been forgotten.

If you’re just chancing upon this call for testing now there is still time to be included. There is also the chance that I may do a second wave of tester sourcing down the road. So if recipe testing interests you but you can’t see yourself doing it now, but maybe come March or April, let me know here and I’ll keep you in mind.

Until then maybe invest in some containers to bring lunch to work. If you’re hitting the kitchen as much as I am you may just find yourself with lots of tasty leftovers for lunch!

  1. Why did I not see this before? I would love to be a tester for you in March or April. Your cookbook sounds fantastic. Good luck with testing until then.

  2. On my other comment I forgot to include my flickr food porn address.

  3. I would love to be included in the testing if there’s still room!

  4. Hi Terry! I’d love to be included in the testing for this book (and your cookie and brunch books, too). Let me know if you still need people to help. 🙂

There is no such thing as too many leftovers. My husband eats about 6 meals a day. I welcome tasty leftovers.

  6. I agree with bex about leftovers. Dazee needs to stop eating out everyday. Also, did I mention my love for papusas, avocado and plaintains?

  7. I’m looking forward to this!

  8. I missed your last post but I’m glad to see you blogging again! If you need testers now or even a couple months down the road, I am definitely interested. Let me know if my services are needed. 🙂

If you’re still looking for testers, I would love to do it.

I think I’m late to be a tester now but if you find that you need more people, please contact me. I have never been a tester but I am a vegan latina so I am familiar with cooking techniques, ingredients, etc…

I am so excited for a latin vegan book – you rule!!!

Is it too late to test? I would love the opportunity!!

  16. So true about the leftovers! I also try to freeze when I can cause there’s only so much one person can eat of something meant for 6-8 🙂

  17. Heck, yes! I would love to help test for your newest cookbook…I’m always in the kitchen. xo, j

  18. How did I miss the first post?! If you still need testers–now or later–I would absolutely love to join the testing throng. I’ve been getting more interested in Latina cooking in general, and it would be great to learn more about it through testing.

  19. I still would like to test!

I think it give your my email address in the control panel… if not, I’ll post it here.

Hey everyone, just a quick one. I haven’t forgotten about you, I’m hard at work prepping everything for your testing pleasure.

For now I have a wonderful slew of testers and will probably keep it at the number I have now.

The good news is that recipe testing will be extended a little longer into early/mid-summer.

Everyone who asked to participate you’ll be hearing from me soon!

Aww. boo 😦 I would love to be included, if at all possible. I’ve made several of your cupcake recipes and have to say they have always turned out well. I love the instruction at the beginning as well. Any idea when the cookie book will come out? 😀
If it helps at all, there is a latin american grocery store in my neighbourhood.

  23. Hey Terry! I commented to you on your last post. I would love to test recipes for you! My email is veganjay92(at)yahoo(dot)com. I really want to learn about latin food as I don’t know much about it!

I would enjoy making your recipes for my gf to see what she thinks as well as give you any additional input needed.

    looking forward to it.

  28. I just saw some of your tester recipes that Mihl from Seitan is My Motor made. They look fantastic.

If you’re still looking for testers, I would love it if you would consider me. I love trying new recipes and I know I’ll love your new recipes because I’m a huge fan of VCTOTW and Veganomicon.

  33. uuuuhhh….i know it is april and you posted this is january, but i would love to be a tester if you need anymore help! i have tested for one other cookbook and had a TON of fun, so i would be psyched to do it again, and for someone so talented! lemme know! kthanksbye!

  34. If you need more testers, would love to be one!

  35. Lorena

Since you might be looking for new testers this spring, I figured I should let you know I’m available to help with the second wave, should you need it. I’ve grown increasingly jealous of all the fab recipes floating out there. And as a new vegan of Latina descent (Mexican and Filipina), I’d love to give your recipes a go!

  36. ohai! Terry, do you need a bazu in your testing pool? If so, I’m the bazu for you.
